Bushland Falcon and Lady Falcon State Track Preview.

The 3A UIL State Track Meet is this Thursday (May 2nd) at Mike Myers Stadium on the University of Texas campus. The Falcons and Lady Falcons will be represented.

Girls 4x100

The over 10,000 fans who will fill Mike Myers Stadium for the evening session on Thursday won't have to wait long to see the Lady Falcons take the track. The first race out of the gate will be the Girls 4x100 where the Lady Falcons team of Jordyn Boyett, Leah Ruthardt, Kenley King and Ashby Graham come in with a qualifying time of 48.92 and will be running in lane 9.

Boys 4x100

Next up on the track will be the Boys 4x100 team of Slade Perry, Easton Fuentes, Max Rodriguez and Tanner Adams. The Falcons come in with a qualifying time of 42.75 from Regionals where they were missing one of their thoroughbreds in Easton Fuentes who was out with a lower leg injury. Now back at full strength look for them to go even faster as they look to go back to the medal stand after a silver medal finish last year.

Boys 100m Dash

After a quick break Tanner Adams returns to the track for the 100m Dash where arguably the fastest man in 3A the past 2 years will look to cement that title! Having ran a 10.19 at the Canyon Invitational earlier this year there is plenty of excitement to see Adams take the track at Mike Myers. Tanner will get the start on the outside in lane 9.

Girls 4x200

The 4x200 relay for the Lady Falcons will feature Sloane Hale, Ashby Graham, Kenley King and Leah Ruthardt. The Lady Falcons come into State seated 3rd after posting a 1:43.44 in the Finals at Regionals, the same meet they set a new school record in during prelims.

Girls 200m Dash

The 200m dash will see Leah Ruthardt cap her incredible Lady Falcon career running her 3rd race of the day at the State Meet. She comes in with a Regional Qualifying time of 24.84 and will get the start in lane 2.

Boys 200m Dash

The final race of the day for the Falcons will see the conclusion of Tanner Adams career. As he leaves with his name stamped all over the Falcon Track record books he looks to add one more medal to his collection in the 200m. He comes in as the #1 seed having a qualifying time of 21.83 and will be running in lane 8.
